HOOKING wins Grand Prix de La Riviera (LR)

Seven-year-old HOOKING became a Black Type winner at Cagnes-sur-Mer yesterday when he scored the feature race of the day on the dirt track in the South of France. The gelding had Aurélien Lemaitre on board when he proved too good in the final leg of the 2,000 metres race and landed a one and one quarter length victory in the €60,000 Grand Prix de la Riviera Côte d'Azur for owners Griezmann Stables and trainer Philippe Decouz. HOOKING thus joined the list of 265 Stakes performers for his sire LOPE DE VEGA, who closed the 2022 season with 84 individual Group winners on record.
