Classic hopeful SAFNI breaks maiden in style on first time out

Our very own SAFNI made his lifetime debut in the Prix Senegal over 2150 metres at Lyon-La Soie today, and the three-year-old by Invincible Spirit fulfilled all hopes and more. The colt was given a perfect trip by Augustin Madamet, who had him settle off the pace and drawing clear with ease in the deep straight to clock in with a length advantage. SAFNI, who is out of our Gr.3 winner SAVANNE, has been nominated for the Gr.1 Prix du Jockey Club.
