While scattered snowflakes trickle down over Lake Starnberg, everyday life at our stud farms slows down considerably and another year draws to a close. Like the previous ones, the past twelve months have been marked by challenges for the entire sport of horse racing and thoroughbred breeding, so it is all the more important to be grateful at this time for all the positive events that we have been able to experience like wonderful gifts.

Thus the upward trend of our star LOPE DE VEGA is still unbroken. The Shamardal son will finish the year in 3rd place in the European sire statistics by number of winners. No wonder that his yearlings achieved an average price of more than € 220,000 this year. The first crop of our Arc hero WALDGEIST drew much positive attention with his foals making an excellent impression. The promising offspring as well as WALDSTAR, BARINA and SEA THE SKY, who are currently in training and have shown great promise, let us look forward to the coming racing season and the next years with confidence.

We anticipate 2022 with hope and in good spirits and we wish the same to all friends of our stud and the entire sport of horse racing as well as to all breeders and active members and also to all our wonderful staff.
