ANTONIA DE VEGA proved too good for her opponenents in today's GBP50,000 Princess Royal Muhaarar Stakes at Newmarket. Given a break since her thrilling win in the Pontefract Castle Stakes in June, the four-year-old by LOPE DE VEGA seemed fresh and was all game in the G3 race for fillies and mares over 2400m where she came off the pace and easily outran her rivals in the final straight by three quarters of a length. ANTONIA DE VEGA's steady partner Harry Bentley was up again for owners Waverley Racing and trainer Ralph Beckett.
