GYTRASH scores G3 Down Under for sire LOPE DE VEGA

Five-year-old GYTRASH gave his sire LOPE DE VEGA yet another group win in the Southern hemisphere today. The chestnut, who was a G1 winner earlier this year in the Black Caviar Plate at Flemington, scored a confident victory by one and a half lengths in the AUS$160,000 Concorde Stakes over 1000m at Randwick. Jason Collett was aboard GYTRASH, who seems improved still after a four-month break following his narrow defeath in the G1 Furphy Goodwood mid of May.
