SPANISH REEF returns to form in G3 Ladies' Day Vase

SPANISH REEF gave her sire LOPE DE VEGA yet another group win in the southern hemisphere. The six-year-old, who announced her return to top form with a fourth-place finish at G2 level in September, returned to winning form in the AUS200,000 Ladies' Day Vaste, a group 3 challenge run over the mile at Caulfield racecourse where the mare had no qualms to confidently show her younger opponents to the places with a one lengths margin. Marka Zahra was in the saddle for trainer Ten Keys, who has pointed SPANISH REEF at the G1 Empire Rose Stakes at Flemington in November.
