Gr.3 win at Longchamp for LOPE DE VEGA's BERNEUIL

One hour after Sweet Lady's Gr.1 win, Ronan Thomas chose the same tactics with BERNEUIL in the €80,000 Qatar Prix du Petit Couvert, and it worked out beautifully. The five-year-old, trained by Carlos and Yann Lerner, jumped into the lead from the start in the Gr.3 contest run over a sprint distance of 1,000 metres, and did not relinquish it again until the finish. In the end, the stewards noted a half-length advantage, a remarkable performance for a sprint race over this short distance. BERNEUIL already won this race last year.
