LOPE DE VEGA's SWEET LADY triumphs in Gr.1 Prix Vermeille

LOPE DE VEGA was given yet another grandiose success when four-year-old SWEET LADY triumphed in the €600,000 Gr.1 Prix Vermeille at Paris-Longchamp today. The mare trained by Francis-Henri Graffard for Gemini Stud shone shone with an impressive gate-to-wire run in the 2,400 metres contest for fillies and mares and held on gamely to edge out her British rivals by a head. SWEET LADY, who was a Gr.2 winner this year already, had Gregory Benoist in the saddle for her first Gr.1 success.
