DALIKA'S Gr.1 win in the U.S. shines spotlight on BBAG Yearling Sale

Home bred former Ammerland runner DALIKA put a temporary crown on her racing career last night German time at Churchill Downs racecourse and, in perfect timing, put the spotlight on the upcoming BBAG Yearling Auction. Ridden by Brian J. Hernandez, the six-year-old Pastorius mare trained by Albert Stall for Bal Mar Equine, LLC ran a gritty race in the $500,000 Beverly D. Stakes to book her first Gr.1 win. In the 1700 metres contest for fillies, DALIKA showed the field the way from the get-go and defended her lead with plenty of grit and fighting spirit.
With this win DALIKA earned the nomination right for the 2M USD Gr.1 Breeders' Cup Fillies & Mares Turf in November, where she will have the chance to top today's success.

DALIKA is out of our Hurricane Run daughter DRAWN TO RUN. A brother to DALIKA will be on offer at the BBAG Yearling Auction coming up on September 2. The colt, which you can find via the navigation bar of this page under HORSES FOR SALE, belongs to the first crop of our Arc hero WALDGEIST.
