GYTRASH impressive in G3 RN Irwin Stakes

GYTRASH by LOPE DE VEGA continues to make a name for himself in Australia. Improved from middle handicap class to stakes level by trainer Gordon Richards, the five-year-old had already made a big impression in the G1 Black Caviar Lightning where he beat 2018 Everest winner Redzel by a length. Yesterday he confirmed with an impressive performance in the G3 RN Irwin Stakes in Morphettville that this success was not to be considered a flash in the pan. Under Jason Holder GYTRASH was the domineering horse over 1100 m and saw no opposition in a superior win by three lengths, hence recommending himself for his next goal, the G1 Goodwood Stakes run in the same location mid of May.
