G1 win for LOPE DE VEGA in Singapore Gold Cup

Australien-bred LIM'S LIGHTNING gave his sire LOPE DE VEGA yet another G1 win at Kranji today. The six-year-old landed a fantastic success in the last leg of the Singapore Triple Crown, the SG$1M Singapore Gold Cup. With his stead partner Danny Baesley on board, LIM'S LIGTHNING took the 2000m race after a breathtaking finish in which he looked beaten already, yet came back again and won by half a length. This was the gelding's fourth Group win and his sixth annual win in seven outings.
