Gestuet Ammerland's BARINA makes winning debut

The trip from Cologne to Munich proved to be extremely worthwhile, as the Peter Schiergen-trained BARINA was able to turn her racecourse debut into a winning affair today in the opening race of the Munich card. The Gleneagles daughter presented herself in excellent form in the 1,400m contest for two-year-old fillies and secured her first career point with a half-length advantage, with jockey Marco Casamento only having to support the filly with this hands. BARINA is a daughter of the Gr.3-placed BISCAYA BAY, a daughter of the great BORGIA.
