LADY FRANKEL strong runner-up (L.)

A very strong second-place finish was the result of LADY FRANKEL's trip to the French Deauville today. This was the first outing of the Andre Fabre-trained four-year-old filly by Frankel since last October and she did really well after this lengthy break. She ran a ready race with Pierre-Charles Boudot aboard in the Qatar Prix De La Calonne, a €48,000 Listed challenge over 1600 m, and came home second only a little more than a length behind the favorized winner Rosa Imperial.
