First Foal for Lope De Vega

The first foal by Lope De Vega has arrived in France, when the Acatenango mare Bougainvillea delivered a chesnut filly at Haras d'Omméel on Monday evening. She is a "nice foal with a good head and plenty of bone", the Stud Manager said delighted with the filly, whose dam is a winning full sister to Ammerland's Champion Racehorse Borgia and has already produced Group winner Burma Gold.
Navarra Queen swoops for Group victory

Two-time Listed winner Navarra Queen came off once more as the winner when entered in her first Pattern race, the Premio Mario Incisa Della Rochetta (Gr. 3). Trained by Peter Schiergen and ridden by Mirco Demuro the 3yo filly by Singspiel out of Navona cut down the leader on the final furlong of the 2000m course and decisively defeated Don't Hurry Me.
